Last week, The Mexico Report announced the launch of its 2nd Annual ‘Real Heroes of Mexico’ project with a call for nominations. From now until May 12, nominations will be accepted for those who go above and beyond to make a difference in Mexico. If you know someone, I’d encourage you to nominate them! The submission form is simple, and Mexico really benefits from positive stories about positive people who make this a desirable, high functioning country to live in and visit. I’m planning to nominate (or get friends to nominate) at least three Chilangos who are improving this country. Amazing people deserve to be thanked and acknowledged!
The Real Heroes of Mexico is a one-of-a-kind, grassroots passion project which showcases goodwill efforts taking place all throughout Mexico. Last year, more than 45 Real Heroes of Mexico were recognized and showcased online and in book form. These individuals were nominated by the general public along with nine ambassadors.
This year, I am helping to support this project as one of the Real Heroes of Mexico Ambassadors. The Ambassadors represent different territories in Mexico such as Tijuana, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Puebla, Oaxaca and more. Along with the general public, the team of Ambassadors will help identify deserving heroes for the project and nominate them. This blog has been very well received, and I am happy to use it as a platform to promote great people who are doing game-changing things here in Mexico. If you know of someone, let me know. I am happy to recognize them on this blog and in a post.
Nominations are being accepted from now until May 12, 2013. Winners will be announced in June. If you know someone who is making a difference in Mexico, please nominate them today.
